ÜLKA Carbide Corn Nail Drill Bit 5 × 13 mm (Green, Coarse Cut) C513-C

The ÜLKA professional corn-shaped tungsten carbide nail drill bit (5.0 mm diameter, 13.0 mm head length) with a green indicator band is an ultra-heavy-duty premium tool engineered from high-grade tungsten carbide (HRA 95%). Featuring a coarse cross-cut fluting pattern, it delivers elevated cutting performance designed for rapid and highly efficient debulking of the densest artificial enhancements. The ergonomic corn geometry ensures smooth operation without skipping and cuts down on friction heat, making it an incredibly reliable tool for complex procedures.

Primary Uses and Application:

  • Ultra-fast and efficient bulk removal of thick, dense artificial coatings (acrylic, builder gel, polygel, acrylgel).

  • Rapid rough filing of length and shape during extension or major maintenance procedures.

  • Easy removal of large areas of product lifting.

  • Thinning out enhancements and clearing away natural nail growth from underneath the free edge.

  • Advanced pedicure: quick elimination of hyperkeratosis, thick calluses, stubborn corns, and treatment of thickened nail plates.

Technical Specifications:

Proper Maintenance, Cleaning, and Sterilization:

While the large, coarse blades of this bit are highly resistant to clogging, adhering to a strict sanitation protocol is mandatory to preserve their razor-sharp edges:

  1. Disinfection:

Immediately after use, submerge the drill bit into a professional disinfectant solution. Use only top-tier concentrates formulated with corrosion inhibitors specifically designed to protect metal rotary tools.

  2. Ultrasonic Cleaning:

To completely flush out product debris trapped deep within the coarse cross-cut flutes, utilize the ÜLKA Pulse ultrasonic cleaner. Afterward, ensure that the bits are completely dry. To accelerate drying, use the 80°C drying cycle for 30 minutes in the Jupiter 10V dry heat sterilizer.

  3. Thermal Sterilization:

Place completely dry bits into self-sealing sterilization pouches (kraft bags) and sterilize them inside the professional ÜLKA Mercury 2V or Jupiter 10V dry heat sterilizers at a temperature of 160–180°C.

Important Guidelines:

  • Store nail drill bits exclusively in dry bur stands or storage blocks that shield them from ambient moisture, dust, and environmental contamination.

  • Do not drop or bump carbide drill bits against hard surfaces. Despite its extreme hardness, tungsten carbide is brittle. Dropping it onto salon tiles can chip the coarse blades, bend the shank, or throw off its rotational center, creating severe wobbling that will damage micromotor handpiece bearings.
