PRINCIPLES OF PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

As part of our business activities, we process personal data of various stakeholders (e.g. website users, stakeholders, customers, business partners and suppliers of goods). Basic terms:

Personal data - is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or by reference to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person;

GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);

Processing of personal data – is any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction, whether or not by automated means.

What personal data is processed?

In connection with the operation of the online store, we process the following personal data in particular:

name and surname,

date of birth,

permanent address,

delivery address,

telephone number,

e-mail address

company name, registered office address, company ID, VAT ID.

For what purpose do we process personal data?

We process your personal data primarily for the purpose of providing our services, i.e. in particular for the purposes of:

concluding a purchase contract for the requested goods that you have chosen in the online store,

issuing a tax document for the purchased goods,

providing advice on the selection of goods and communicating with you,

delivering goods to the address you have provided,

complaints or returning goods.

Last but not least, we also process your personal data for the purpose of protecting our rights and legitimate interests, for example in the event of any dispute.

We always try to process only the necessary data. The security of your personal data is our top priority.

What authorizes us to process your personal data?

The legal bases for processing personal data are as follows:

you have given us your consent for one or more specific purposes of processing personal data,

processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party,

processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject by law (e.g. handling complaints or storing tax documents),

processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, except where these interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms that require protection of personal data.

To whom do we transfer your personal data?

VK-STUDIO carefully considers and assesses whether the provision of personal data to another recipient is necessary and whether the potential recipient is able to ensure adequate protection of the personal data provided. We provide your data to:

an external accounting company,

an external IT company that manages our websites,

payment service providers and payment processors for the purpose of securing the transfer of funds,

providers of administrative, service, postal and transport services,

some personal data may be provided to the relevant public authorities upon request.

The entities to whom the data is provided are authorized to process personal data only for the purposes for which the data was provided to them and may not provide them to any other person without the consent of VK-STUDIO.

How long is your personal data stored?

The period of storage of personal data depends on the purpose of the processing of personal data. However, the period of storage of your personal data is primarily governed by:

our obligations imposed on us by law (e.g. archiving) or which

arise from the contract concluded with you,

the duration of your consent

the effectiveness of the contract with you.

We delete unnecessary personal data or personal data for which we no longer have a legal basis for processing without delay.

What are your rights in connection with the processing of your personal data by our company?

You have the right:

to access your personal data, i.e. you can at any time request that we inform you about what data we process about you, for what purpose, or to which third parties your personal data is provided and when your personal data will be deleted, and about other facts related to the processing of your personal data,

to correct personal data if the data is incorrect or outdated,

to delete all personal data, if they are no longer necessary for the given purpose, your consent to the processing of personal data has been revoked, the data has been processed unlawfully or the deletion results directly from the law,

to restrict the processing of personal data, in particular due to the disputability and legitimacy of the processing of your personal data by VK-STUDIO. If you exercise this right, your personal data will only be stored, but we will not process them in any other way. We can only use them with your consent or when exercising the protection of our rights,

to transfer personal data, i.e. the right to obtain the personal data we process about you in a machine-readable format or the right to transfer your personal data to another controller,

to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data - Consent is of course revocable. However, withdrawing consent does not always mean deleting all of your personal data, because you are withdrawing your consent granted for a specific purpose of processing personal data. The controller, i.e. VK-STUDIO, may also process your personal data for other purposes for which it uses a different legal basis for processing than your consent. to object to the processing of personal data, i.e. to object to the unlawfulness of the processing of your personal data. During the period of verification of the legitimacy of your objection, the processing of your personal data will be unlimited. We will inform you of the result of the review of your objection without delay, no later than within one month.

Which authority can you contact if you believe that your personal data is not being processed lawfully?

The supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection, to which you can file a complaint. You can find more information directly on the website of the Office for Personal Data Protection https://dataprotection.gov.sk/sk/ .

However, we would be very happy if you contact our company before filing a complaint and give us the opportunity to answer all your questions and eliminate any shortcomings.

Customer account

On our website, we offer users the opportunity to create a customer account or register on our login interface in order to use the full range of functions of our website. The collected data is used to provide the user with access to the platforms and their services. We use the registration data to process orders placed in our online store and to create a customer account. Registration is not possible without this data.

Newsletter

On our website you can subscribe to the newsletter, in which you will be sent information about news and discounts. If you are interested in receiving the newsletter, you must consent to the use of your e-mail address for the purpose of sending news. You grant your consent for a period of three years and you can revoke it at any time. If you want to revoke your consent, please inform us at the e-mail address: vkstudiosk@vk-studio.sk.

What are cookies and what cookies do we use?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (e.g. computer, tablet, phone, etc.) when you visit the website of the online store. Cookies may contain, for example, information about your visit and activity on the website. VK-STUDIO does not track your activity on the website and does not store any data about your visit.
