Proper Maintenance, Cleaning, and Sterilization:

To preserve the performance of the fine diamond coating and prolong the lifespan of the tool, adhere to a strict three-step decontamination protocol:

1. Disinfection:

   Immediately after use, submerge the drill bit into a professional disinfectant solution. Use only top-tier concentrates with corrosion inhibitors specifically engineered for delicate metal rotary tools.

2. Ultrasonic Cleaning:

   To fully eliminate microscopic organic debris from the flame-shaped crevices, use the ÜLKA Pulse ultrasonic cleaner. Afterward, ensure the bits are entirely dry. To accelerate drying, use the 80°C drying cycle for 30 minutes in the Jupiter 10V dry heat sterilizer.

3. Thermal Sterilization:

   Place completely dry bits into self-sealing sterilization pouches (kraft bags) and sterilize them inside the professional ÜLKA Mercury 2V or Jupiter 10V dry heat sterilizers at a temperature of 160–180°C.

Important Guidelines:

• Store nail drill bits exclusively in dry bur stands or holders that shield them from ambient moisture, dust, and accidental contamination.

• Do not drop or bump the drill bits against hard surfaces. The elongated flame tip is sensitive; any impact can warp the shank, resulting in rotational runout (wobbling) that will damage the micromotor handpiece bearings.
